Sara Lewi’s Calendar 1962-1985-2018 weaves together the lives of three individuals who used the same calendar in different eras. The calendar pages feature notes from Anne, based in Paris, and Marek, based in Poland. The artist reflects on the historical realities of 1962 and 1985 and adds their own observations in 2018. This work highlights the connections between music, culture, politics, and daily life through 25 calendar pages and accompanying visual and audio archives. The archives were sourced from found footage related to the original notes.
